As I have finished White Oleander I have moved onto a different book. I read about 50 pages and couldn't go on. It was nearly impossible for me to be remotely interested in what was happening, so I decided that I should take a break and get back into it. Even then, it was near impossible, I felt that it was paining me to read the book. I then returned it to the library today and took out two others on my book list; The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake and To Kill a Mockingbird hoping that these two would be a more interesting read than What is Left, The Daughter... hopefully. I'm on to reading My Name is Mary Sutter today praying that it wont be as much a disappointment as What is Left, the Daughter.
